Students can check if their summer 1 classes will transfer for Fall 2013 for the following schools. This page shall serve as resource so students can check the statuses of campuses.
The Associated Students is diligently working and finding out if summer 1 classes will transfer for Fall 2013 for the schools below. Due to the recent academic calendar shift from a semester system to a trimester, there have been a lot of uncertainties on whether summer 1 classes will be able to qualify for Fall 2013 transfer. Rest assured that the Associated Students have been working hard on communicating with admissions from different campuses to make sure that the students will be given the chance to transfer their summer classes for the upcoming Fall. The calendar shift has greatly affected student’s edplans and as the representatives and the voice of the students, it is in our best interest this semester to focus on getting our fellow students to transfer. If the calendar system did not change, winter (which was cut from the calendar) would have been considered for transfer. This page will be updated as soon as information become available from various campuses.
Summer 1
There will be “two” summer sessions. Summer 1 and Summer semester. Summer 1 is as short as an intersession. As simple as that. It is composed of short term classes. Usually, admissions of other schools will not count summer for Fall admissions. A big load of students then rely on winter intersession to complete their requirements. Considering how winter was cut and spring was moved earlier than the usual schedule, a semester composed of classes that would have helped transferring students disappeared. In moving forward, we are trying to communicate with schools to ensure, if there are still possibilities, to mitigate the effects of the administration’s decision to shift the calendar system.
